Night Petersburg Painting Cityscape Original Art
St. Isaac’s Cathedral
Original oil painting on canvas
Beautiful painting for home and office, perfect gift for your relatives and friends.
Urban landscape. Night St. Petersburg in winter. Alexander Garden and St. Isaac’s Cathedral against the dark sky. There is ice and water on the garden paths, reflecting the illuminated buildings. The dark branches of the trees stand out in contrast against the light-filled buildings and look openwork against the sky. It was raining, it was slippery underfoot. And the city looked very picturesque and mysterious. The dome of the temple rose into the sky.
It is painted on a stretched linen canvas with professional paints. Unframed. The sides of the painting are painted. Ready to hang. Author’s signature on the front and back.
I love to paint with a palette knife, creating rich texture and unexpected brush strokes. The texture can be seen in the photograph of the fragments.
Please note that picture colors may vary depending on monitor settings.
